We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Software Testing Lead to oversee our QA processes and ensure the delivery of high-quality software products. As a Testing Lead, you will be responsible for leading a team of testers, designing and implementing test strategies, and collaborating with development and product teams to identify, resolve, and prevent issues throughout the software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

As a Software Testing Lead, you will:

  1. Lead the QA team by managing day-to-day testing activities, mentoring team members, and ensuring adherence to best practices and testing standards.
  2. Develop and execute test strategies, test plans, and test cases for manual and automated testing based on product requirements and technical specifications.
  3. Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business analysts, to ensure timely delivery of high-quality features.
  4. Oversee test automation efforts, selecting appropriate tools and frameworks, and integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
  5. Monitor and report on testing progress, metrics, and quality KPIs to stakeholders and leadership.
  6. Identify and manage risks related to software quality and recommend process improvements to enhance QA efficiency and effectiveness.
  7. Review and approve test deliverables, including test cases, test scripts, and defect reports.
  8. Stay updated with the latest testing tools, trends, and technologies, and introduce relevant innovations to the QA process.

Qualifications

Education

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience

  1. 5+ years of experience in software testing, with at least 2 years in a lead or managerial role.
  2. Proven experience with both manual and automated testing.
  3. Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.

Technical Skills

  1. Proficiency in test management tools like JIRA, TestRail, or Zephyr.
  2. Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Appium, or Cypress.
  3. Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., JavaScript, Python, Java) for test automation.
  4. Experience working with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or Azure DevOps.
  5. Strong understanding of software development life cycles (SDLC) and agile methodologies.

Soft Skills

  1. Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  2. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  3. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  4. Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. ISTQB or equivalent certification.
  2. Experience testing web, mobile, and API-based applications.
  3. Knowledge of performance and security testing tools (e.g., JMeter, OWASP ZAP).
